Tips for Sunless Tanners

Weddings, Social Events and Holiday Parties are coming... and you want to look your best!

First of all, Congratulations! Choosing Airbrush Sunless Tanning will help you stay healthy and look younger than your tanning-bed-addicted pals! Here are some tips to ensure the smoothest, long lasting tan.

What to AVOID BEFORE your Appointment:

-exfoliating products that leave excess oil on the body (salt scrubs that sit in oil)

-remove all lotions, creams, deoderants, makeup and other toiletries. Our technicians are always happy to help and will have makeup remover on hand if you forget.

-Waxing should be done at least a few days before your tan. Shave the day before your spray tan. If you need to shave everyday, make sure you shave at least 6 hours before your tan with a sharp fresh razor.

-Remove all jewelry before your tan. Any tight-fitting jewelry (watches, rings) should not be worn until after showering.

What to wear to your appointment:

-dark, loose fitting clothing and shoes.

-we provide disposables to wear during the spray tan, but you are welcome to bring a bathing suit to wear. Remember that light nylon or synthetic materials might stain, but tanning solution will wash out of most fabrics.

-plan not to get wet, exercise or sweat for AT LEAST 4-6 hours after your tan.

Good to Know:

-your tan will develop over the next 12-48 hours

-you will see some color rinsing off in the first shower after your tan. This is the topical bronzer washing off, revealing your true tan.

-Pat yourself dry after showering (NEVER RUB!) and moisturize, moisturize, MOISTURIZE!

I recently joined a mom group in the area. when i say mom group, i dont mean 4 moms with their strollers in the park (though i have been part of those many years ago when my twins were itty bitty). This mom network is huge. and FRIENDLY. The moms out there know what i'm getting at...

It's not often a group of women can get together these days if they haven't known each other forever and just talk. Eventually it becomes a competition...

I had a good feeling about this group from the moment someone suggested joining... and it paid off. Had a BLAST with these gals last night. Met a bunch of wonderfully talented moms that I can be myself around. So I was inspired to celebrate friendship at the spa....
